We are looking for white men and male-bodied folks to join us on the journey of cultural healing and moving towards a more just world!
Change happens in relationship. This course creates a supportive space for white men, non-binary, male-bodied, and/or masc folks to process, learn, and grow together. Through a blend of personal reflection, group dialogue, and embodiment practices, participants will strengthen their emotional resilience, unpack internalized systems of dominance, and build authentic relationships rooted in accountability, care, and justice. This is an opportunity to move beyond individual awareness and into collective transformation.
Part 1: The Emotional Resilience and Accountability Training is intended to help white-bodied and white-presenting folks stabilize, ground, and fully engage with accountability and movement towards an anti-racist culture.
Participants will be guided in this training to do deep introspective work that will heighten their emotional resiliency, a skill that is foundational and necessary to truly move belonging efforts forward.
Part 2: For the Me and White Supremacy Learning aspect of this course, participants process individually, and as a group, the interactive book “Me and White Supremacy.” This book was written by Layla F. Saad, a Black woman, to provide white-bodied and white-presenting people a reflective guide on how internalized white supremacy (settler/occupier white culture) affects their thoughts and behaviors. Here is one of Layla’s video introductions to the book content (you will hear her reference it as an Instagram challenge, which it was at that time– and now it’s a book). Here is an outline of the topics covered in the book. We offer supplemental resources and tools, including somatic practices for grounding and integration.
You will come away with:
- More self-awareness on the ways white supremacy and patriarchy has impacted you
- Practices that get you out of your head, and into your heart and body
- Emotionally-rooted communication skills
- Cultivation of both your internal divine masculine and divine feminine
- Connections with other men and male-bodied folks doing the work of introspection, accountability, and de-colonizing one’s self
